3 Best Things You Can Do After Setting Up Your Samsung Galaxy A51
So you got a brand new Samsung Galaxy phone, yes the A51, now it is out of the box.
Here’s what you should do next! No, we are not going to hash over basic stuff like “How to take screenshot on Samsung Galaxy A51” or “How to restart your Galaxy A51”, no.
This post will walk you through some of the best tips and tricks for getting started with your brand new Galaxy A51.
Let’s dive in…
Set Up an “Alternate Look”
Yes, that stunning new top-mounted 32MP selfie camera within the screen can also unlock your phone by recognizing your face.
But if you keep changing your looks, then the phone may not recognize you every time. So what you can do is add what Samsung calls ‘alternative looks’.
This can be very helpful in case you wear caps, masks, glasses, or anything that may change your facial appearance from that of when you set it up for the first time.
To enable this feature, follow the below steps:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Navigate to Biometrics and security.
3. Tap on Face recognition.
4. Enter your security code to access the next screen.
5. Once done, now you can then tap on add alternative look and re-register your face again.
Minimize The Status Bar Clutter
That stunning 32MP selfie camera that is stuck within the screen can take up some space for notification icons in the status bar, but Samsung is brainy.
You can set your phone to show only the total number of notifications rather than individual icons.
To turn this on, follow the steps below:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Navigate to Notifications.
3. Tap on Status bar.
4. Under Show notification icons, choose Number of notifications only.
Now you will see numbers alongside the clock that displays the total number of pending notifications that you have.
Make Your A51 More Speedy
This is a small tip that I recommend for every Smartphone is reducing the duration of animations. This will, in exchange, make your A51 feel faster.
To make this happen, you will have to bust your gut. Just kidding.
Here’s how to do it:
· Go to Settings.
· Select About phone.
· Select Software information.
· Find Build number and tap on it at least seven to ten times.
· When asked, input your unlock PIN.
· Developer mode will now be enabled.
· Now go back to Settings.
· Select Developer options at the bottom of the Settings page.
· Now scroll down until you locate the Drawing sub-menu.
· Find Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale options.
· Tap on each, and set all three of these to Animation scale.5x.
Doing this will significantly decrease the duration of animations, making them feel a lot faster and your phone more responsive.
Bottom Line
These were some of the tips that can be helpful in making the user experience better on your A51. These tips are also applicable to other brand new Samsung devices with the same OS version and up.
